The Automatic Kerf Keeper prevents the saw blade and splitter from binding while cutting hardwoods. When tension and pressure build, the Kerf Keeper is pulled out automatically by the closing kerf. The Kerf Keeper travels with the pinching kerf, and keeps it open reducing stress on the saw blade and splitter.
