The 40V max XGT Brushless 10″ Pole Saw (GAU01) is 8′ in length to allow the user to reach higher and trim branches with ease. The Makita-built brushless motor delivers the power of a 35cc gas pole saw. The 40V max XGT delivers up to 150 cuts in 4×4 cedar on a single charge of an XGT 4.0Ah battery, allowing the user to cut and trim for longer periods of time. The Pole Saw has convenience features that include a lateral chain tensioner with a single stud for efficient chain retention and a captured bar nut that is retained in the sprocket cover for easier setup and maintenance. There is also a translucent bar oil tank with a large opening that aids in adding oil and keeping the bar properly lubricated. Additional features include Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFT), which electronically turns off the motor if the rotation of the attachment is suddenly forced to stop. Durability features include Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) for improved dust and water resistance, and IPX4 weather-resistant construction. XGT is a system of equipment, tools, batteries, and chargers utilizing 40v max lithium-ion batteries.
