Screw pin anchor shackles feature a large rounded shape that allows them to take loads from many directions without developing significant side load. The screw pin configuration is best for use in applications that are temporary or require repeated and/or quick connections and disconnections. These stainless steel bow shackles are made from Type 316 non-magnetic drop-forged stainless steel to deliver superior strength and corrosion resistance.
Type 316 Stainless steel shackles are great for high humidity or marine applications. Stainless steel has a sufficient amount of chromium present so that chromium oxide film forms. This film prevents further corrosion and prevents it from spreading to the internal part of the anchor shackle.
