These 12″ semi step boxes from Sturdy-Lite – also known as Gator Boxes – offer the dual benefits of added storage and easy access to the deck between the cab and the trailer. Mounted on the driver’s side of the truck, they are perfect for holding gloves, rubber boots, WD-40, and other basic tools you need for every trip.

Compared to a standard semi truck step box, the Gator Box design has a lid that opens up instead of down (so it won’t be in your way!). The lid also conveniently props up automatically with a built-in air shock, so you don’t have to worry about holding it up while you find what you need.

Sturdy-Lite Semi Step Tool Box Construction

To ensure your tool box can handle the demands of the road, Sturdy-Lite uses a .125″ thick high-strength premium aluminum alloy for the box construction. For maximum consistency and optimal cohesion on all welds, the sections are created using CNC machining with laser cutting and all welding is done by an AWS-certified welder. The corners are welded and reinforced for a heavy-duty product that will last.
